Dr. Audrey Trewin OTD, OTR/L, SWC
licensed pediatric occupational therapist

 

Audrey Trewin, OTD, OTR/L, SWC has extensive experience as a pediatric occupational therapist, specializing in understanding children with sensory integration differences and supporting children and families in the areas of feeding and mealtime participation. She earned a Clinical Doctorate in occupational therapy from Thomas Jefferson University, with an advanced practice certificate in teaching, and earned a Master’s degree in occupational therapy from San Jose State University. Audrey has advanced training in Ayres Sensory Integration© and advanced practice certification through the California Board of Occupational Therapy in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, or Intervention (SWC). She currently serves as Capacity Lead for the Sensory Integration Special Interest Section through AOTA and is an adjunct faculty member in the occupational therapy department at Cal State University Dominguez Hills, where she teaches pediatric assessments. In addition, she provides professional education courses to clinicians to support assessment and intervention for children who have feeding and mealtime needs.

Audrey is passionate about helping children discover and use their unique strengths through play, empowering families, and supporting children of all abilities to thrive. She loves collaborating with both families and clinicians and she is dedicated to educating others on the foundational role that sensory integration plays in a child’s ability to participate in daily activities.
