Meet the Mentors

Dr. Maytal Shvartz, OTD, OTR/L  
licensed pediatric occupational therapist

Maytal Shvartz, OTD, OTR/L has a captivating spirit that provides children with a creative, motivating and effective therapeutic experience. She earned a Clinical Doctorate and Master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California and has professional training and expertise in Ayres Sensory Integration®, pediatric mental health and DIR Floortime techniques, and has worked as a school-based occupational therapist.

In addition, she is a clinical mentor at playSense. She meets weekly with the playSense team to support their clinical reasoning based on ASI principals and facilitates treatment plan development that holds fidelity to ASI. Maytal is passionate about utilising her own favorite occupation - play - in order to make a positive and lifelong impact on the lives of the children and families that she works with.  In her free time, Maytal enjoys spending time in the ocean, with friends, at the gym, or snowboarding.  She is a sensory kid at heart and enjoys physical activities throughout the year!
